Due to outstanding witness statements, Matthew Prendergast, grandson of Reggae legend Bob Marley will go on trial on December 8th of this year. He will be tried for charges resulting from an altercation with a security guard at the Bob Marley Museum on Hope Road in St Andrew, Jamaica.

It is alleged that Prendergast pointed a at the security guard on the 5th of April. He is charge with illegal possession of a firearm and assault at commin law. A firearm has not been recovered and he is currently on J$200,000 bail.

Prendergast, 25, is a musician reportedly who lives in both Miami and Jamaica. He’s the son of Sharon Marley and FIFA referee instructor Peter Prendergast.
