There have been numerous reports of Alkaline being banned from various Caribbean countrues. The dancehall deejay who most recently have performed in Belize and is set to perform in Antigua, Suriname, Barbados, Panama, and Trinidad and Tobago has this to say about such rumors;

“Alkaline is free to visit and perform anywhere in the world right now. I am not banned and have never been banned from any territory,” he said. “Frankly, the issue is that most religious groups have expressed their concerns about my character and the type of music that I do. However, I am who I am and if they feel my music alone can negatively affect their people, then their faith is rather weak.”

Alkaline has also been nominated for awards from three different music organisations. Best Reggae Act in the Music of Black Origin (MOBO); Best Discovery in the first Indies Live Music Awards (ILMA) in St Maarten and Best New Entertainer in the International Reggae and World Music Awards (IRAWMA).

How it Feel, Alkaline’s latest video, will be released shortly.
