In an uncharacteristic blunder for Apple, screenshots of the upcoming iPad Air 2 and iPad mini 3 from an official user guide for iOS 8 have been leaked onto the iTunes Store ahead of the official press event later today.

Apart from the addition of a TouchID fingerprint scanning functionality for the home button and Burst Mode for the camera, both models in the leaked images appear to be outwardly identical to their previous iterations. As for the internal details, we will have to wait for the official announcement to see if any substantial upgrades have been made to the performance of the new iPads.

Apple is also expected to announce new Macs and further flesh out the upcoming OSX Yosemite operating system at the event.
