Yosra El-Essawy, Beyoncé’s “Mrs. Carter World Tour” photographer, passed away at the age of 33 on October 25 following a lengthy battle with inoperable esophageal cancer.

In addition to her work on Beyoncé’s tour, El-Essawy is also known for her work covering the Egyptian revolution, weddings and a London photography exhibit in 2013 called “Eye.Soul: A Constant Work In Progress.”

In honor of her friend’s struggle, the singer dedicated a performance of “Halo” to her during the tour last spring, in addition to creating a mini-documentary on El-Essawy’s passion.
