After years of anticipation, pressure, and rumors we may finally get to see Floyd Mayweather JR. face off against Manny Pacquiao.

According to TMZ, the two will FINALLY face off May 2, at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.

Negotiations for the fight had seemed to reach a snag until the two coincidentally ended up at the Miami Heat game on Tuesday due to the snowstorm in the northeast cancelling Pacquiao’s fight. The two reportedly hammered out details of the fight in a secret meeting after the game, and it seems like it’s a go for the fight.

Respectable ESPN boxing journalist Dan Rafael had more insight on the fight, however denying the TMZ report by saying that no deal has officially been made yet.

So what it seems like is both Mayweather AND Pacquiao have reached a deal, but HBO and Showtime have yet to come to terms on their joint pay-per-view for the fight. Either way, it seems like we are VERY close to seeing this fight, and boxing fans should begin looking at tickets to Las Vegas.
