Drake’s surprise album ‘If You’re Reading This It’s Too Late” have debuted at #1 on the Billboard 200, the album sold 495,000 copies in its first chart week and 535,000 if you include streaming marking Drake’s fourth No. 1 album after Thank Me Later (released in 2010), Take Care (2011) and Nothing Was the Same (2013).

‘If You’re Reading This lt’s Too Late’ makes the largest sales week for an R&B/hip-hop album since Beyonce’s own surprise self-titled album with 617,000 sold and the biggest week for a rap album since Eminem’s ‘The Marshall Mathers LP 2’ wich debuted at No. 1 with 792,000 sales in the week.

Drake’s ‘If You’re Reading This lt’s Too Late’ also broke a Spotify record for most album streams doing 17.3 million streams within a 3-day span, this feat set the record for the most streams for an album in its debut week in the U.S. The project also broke the record for most streams in a day for an album as well, doing 6.8 million streams on Saturday, February 14th.

Back in 2013, ‘Nothing Was the Same’ received 15.8 million streams in the first week, meaning Drizzy just broke his own record.
