Kanye West has gone on a Twitter rant after New York Fashion Week creator Fern Mallis said she wasn’t a fan.

Mallis told The New York Post she was “a bit over Kanye”, said she wasn’t a fan of his music and that “the attitude and the agenda is not my style”.

Kanye, having just released a collection for Adidas, said he’d faced “countless amounts of bigotry” along the way.
He said his fame hindered rather than helped him “do clothing”. “To Fern Mallis,” he begins. “I just want you to understand that attempting to do clothing has been very difficult and I have encountered countless amounts of bigotry along the way.
“I have millions of ideas and I represent a new generation just trying to express themselves in a broken world. “I don’t call myself a designer as I was not allowed to go to Saint Martins.”

Central Saint Martins is an art school in London. John Galliano, Marc Jacobs and Alexander McQueen all attended the college.
Kanye said he was not allowed to go to Saint Martins as he was “too famous”. A spokesperson for the college said that would not be a reason someone would not be allowed to attend the school.

His rant comes after he gave an hour-long interview to New York radio station Power 105.1 FM on Friday morning during which he claimed “truthfully, I’m the most influential person in footwear”.

Kanye has designed trainers for Nike, Reebok, Louis Vuitton, Adidas and Bathing Ape.

Despite the passionate tone of his tweets, he signed off with an apparent offer to Fern – the chance to make up over a drink.

“If you wanna have a drink with me, book a table at the spotted pig when I’m back in NY,” he tweeted. The Spotted Pig is a Michelin-starred (award-winning) gastropub in New York.
