Michael Jordan hasn’t set foot on a basketball court in 12 years, but he’s still making more money than any active player now.

In Forbes annual list of highest-paid retired athletes Michael Jordan tops the list ranking in $100 million last year.

What’s his moneymaker? The sneaker, of course. In the U.S. alone, the highly popular sneaker brand increased in sales 17% last year, bringing the net worth to $2.6 billion.

MJ receives royalties from Nike, along with endorsements from popular sporting brands including Gatorade, Hanes, Upper Deck, 2K Sports, and Five Star Fragrances bring his bank to $100 million.

The list also mentions David Beckham ($75 million), Arnold Palmer ($42 million), Jack Nicklaus ($28
million), and Jerry Richardson ($23 million).

Jordan is only out done by “Pretty Boy Floyd” Mayweather ($105 million), for highest paid athlete in the world, active or retired.
