The Council of Fashion Designers of America announced that Pharrell Williams will be honored with the Fashion Icon Award at the 2015 CFDA Fashion Awards.

Each year, the CFDA rewards an individual whose style has made a significant impact on popular culture on an international stage.

Pharrell co-founded both Billionaire Boys Club and Ice Cream in 2005 and has attained multiple endorsement deals with brands such as adidas, G-Star and Uniqlo.

A Vivienne Westwood hat that he wore to the 2014 Grammy’s was eventually auctioned off to Arbys.

CFDA’s President Diane von Furstenberg says she “can’t imagine anyone not seduced by him.”

On the Council’s main site, Von Furstenberg says, “If cool was a person, it would be Pharrell, not just for his looks and sense of style but for his kindness and openness.”

Rihanna took home the coveted award last year.

Pharrell is slated to receive the 2015 Fashion Icon Award on June 1 at the Lincoln Center in New York, NY.
