Fay-Ann Lyons may be jet-setting around the world with her husband- the self proclaimed Viking of Soca, Bunji Garlin, but from the lips of the former Road March, Power and Groovy soca monarch queen herself, ETCETERABUZZ can confirm that baby talk is high on the couple’s priority list these days.

In a recent chat with us, Lyons-Alvarez who recently returned from performing with Bunji at the Coachella Music and Arts Festival, said the family will be increased next year. She admitted that with so much happening with the Vikings, baby making had to be placed on hold. Fay-Ann said her recent experience with Bunji at Coachella was truly a wonderful one. She noted the strong sense of organization witnessed throughout the event. “It was amazing to see. They managed 6000 plus people, plus staff, seamlessly,” she marveled, saying that she was hopeful that promoters in T&T would get it ironed out like that some day.

Revealing that she recently got signed to the BMI music group, Fay-Ann who is currently working on a non-soca album, said she’s working on linking up with Jamaica’s Mavado to collaborate on a track for the album. She also said there’s a special surprise for R&B music lovers, in the pipeline. Fay-Ann’s been on the grind, no doubt, but amid it all, she’s been seeing everything. Tweets and social media posts about her and of course other local entertainers, she lamented, could prove damaging to possible international deals and connections. “The reality is that social media now has the ability to connect all of us, no matter where we are in the world,” said the entertainer, adding that when negative comments are plastered across the World Wide Web, there’s no taking back the negative backlash that could possibly follow. With that, the artiste, wife and mom said she hoped the people of Trinidad and Tobago could encourage their artistes more, show more appreciation for their efforts and celebrate their successes rather than demote them with their social media posts, in the future.
