Could the replacement for Rick Ross workout better for Reggae Sumfest?

Well, according to the organizers, the new plans maybe better than what they had before. Chairman for the greatest reggae show on earth, Robert Russell tells Music News that the Summerfest Production team is working acidulously and patrons should not be alarmed.

Mr. Russell also promised that an announcement could come as early as tomorrow.

When asked if rapper T.I and R&B singer Chris Brown were on the list of entertainers Reggae Sumfest is negotiating with; Robert Russell had this to say.

Rapper Rick Ross who was billed for International Night 1, July 17 was yanked from the Reggae Sumfest lineup due to his legal troubles in the US which prevents the Maybach Music CEO from travelling outside the country.

Reggae Sumfest will begin on July 12. While the three nights of live stageshow performances will run from July 16 to 18 at Catherine Hall in Montego Bay.

Dancehall night which will see Lady Saw creating history being the first female to close the show will also feature the likes of the fireman Capleton, I-Octane, PopCaan, Aidonia, Konshens, Demarco, Spice, Vanessa Bling, Gully Bop and others.

Meanwhile, International Night 1 will see the likes of Rapper Common, Coco Tea, Kabaka Pyramid, Jesse Royal, Keznamdi and Raging Fire among others hitting the stage.

And the final night of Reggae Sumfest will feature live performances from Jennifer Hudson, Beenie Man, Empire actor Yazz, Christopher Martin, L.U.S.T and others.
