A cop was allegedly tied up and beaten by the mother of his child during a domestic dispute.

The constable, who was stationed at the Spanish Town Police Station, and who was on vacation leave at the time of the incident, was allegedly beaten with a brush and other objects by his babymother.

Allegations are that on June 12, 2015, both were in an argument outside and the accused, Renee Brown, beat the complainant and tied him up.

Although the details of what caused the altercation was not presented, when they appeared in the Spanish Town RM Court on Tuesday, senior Resident Magistrate Lyle Armstrong suggested that both parties agree to sit with a mediator to settle their differences.

It was also said that based on the incident, the officer has been transferred to St Andrew. The case will again be mentioned on September 29, 2015.
