THE Dream Weekend party experience came to an epic end with the staging of Dream J’ouvert held at Wonderland in Negril, on Sunday night. Soca music lovers got an opportunity to experience more fun and more fete as they spared no one within their reach from a paint and powder. By midnight, the venue contained hundreds of orange and yellow-painted patrons running around wilding dousing each other. When the paint ran out, liquor and water were used as a substitute. They only stopped to quench their thirsts at the Appleton Special bars.

Deejays provided the musical soundtrack. Among the selections that ruled the night were Kes’s Wutliss, We On the Road Again,

Machel Montano’s Go Dung and a string of new songs from this year’s soca season. The fete didn’t stop with the paint as at approximately 2:00 am, all eyes were glued to the stage anticipating the Montano’s performance. After the soca star’s deejay hyped up the crowd, Montano entered centerstage to almost deafening screams. Among the songs he had his fans gyrating, waving and jumping to were The Fog, Happiest Man Alive, Like ah Boss, Gyal Wuk and Pump You Flag.
