Two men were found dead Wednesday in a Compton marijuana dispensary, and authorities say the pair died from apparent gunshot wounds.

Deputies were called to the 4800 block of East Compton Boulevard about 6:40 p.m., according to a statement from the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.

Inside the location — a single-story building painted green — deputies found the two men, sheriff’s officials said. Both were pronounced dead at the scene. Their identities were not released.

The location of the crime scene matches the site of the marijuana dispensary touted by rapper Chief Keef, who claimed in an Instagram post last year that he and an associate opened a Glo Gang marijuana shop, which was reported by the pop culture website Complex.

The website Weedmaps describes the dispensary as the “Chief Keef Glo Shop,” but it’s unclear if the rapper has any formal association with the business. Sheriff’s officials did not confirm whether the location is affiliated with Chief Keef.
