Seven might be a lucky number for Ms. Jackson.

After taking a seven year musical hiatus, the pop icon returned to music with her album Unbreakable, which earned her her seventh number one record of her career.

Led by her sultry “No Sleep” single featuring J.Cole, Ms. Jackson’s album moved 109,000 copies its first week, with 116,000 streams, according to Billboard.

In late August, Janet kicked off her world tour in Vancouver proving her absence from the stage did not diminish her skills.

Janet’s latest accomplishment makes her the third artist to achieve a number one record in all four decades, as well as the third female artist with the most number one albums. Barbara Streisand has 10 because…well, she’s Barbra Streisand, Madonna has eight and Janet rounds out the pack with seven.
