Facebook is currently experimenting with a new feature within its Messenger app that gives users the option to have their messages disappear one hour after sending them. Similar to Snapchat, the company’s biggest messaging competitor, the feature will bring ephemeral messaging to Facebook Messenger for the first time.

You can turn on the disappearing message option by clicking the hourglass icon that is located at the top of the screen. Turning on the features means your text will vanish in an hour; to turn it off simply click the hourglass again.

Facebook also just launched a new notifications app to keep you constantly updated.
