The Weeknd’s musical domination this year was awarded with a unique gift. The Canadian expat received a one-of-a-kind 1984 Michael Jackson tour jacket that was adorned by the King of Pop himself.

“The Hills” singer shared this memorable occasion on his social media platforms, also revealing that the apparel was signed by the Jacksons.

The Weeknd is no stranger to the MJ comparisons, revealing his exact thoughts to Pitchfork following the release of his number one single, “I Can’t Feel My Face.”

“I want [my fans] to know that my music is for them and if, God forbid, anything happened [to me], it would be like a piece of them is gone. That’s what he made me feel,” he said. “That’s what I want to do. I’m grabbing that side of me and putting it out to the world—and the R. Kelly side, and the Prince side. All three are my inspirations, and you hear all of that on this album.”

The XO leader is currently on his highly successful “Madness Fall Tour” which just left New York City earlier this week. The next stop will roll into Oakland, Calif. on Dec. 5.
