After 18 years, Richie Stephens is reviving his riddim “Sail Away” after it was sampled by pop star Rihanna for her new infectious song “Work” featuring rapper Drake.

Richie tells Music News that Rihanna’s representatives called him and requested permission to use the riddim produced by his Pot of Gold label.

Stephens who is credited as a co-writer on Rihanna’s “Work” further explains that the move has propelled him to re-release the riddim adding a new flavor.

The rerelease of Sail Away will feature the likes of Assassin, Sean Paul and Ikaya. Richie Stephens gives us the full hundred.

Rihanna’s “Work” which is the first single from her long awaited album Anti, was produced by Jamaican producers living in Canada.
