Vincentian producer and videographer, Mr Retail, is giving you a real time peek into the world of local fashion designing.

In a 2 part documentary called IGABURI, Mr Retail goes behind the scenes to show the making of Peta Odini and Fashion Is Payne collections, in their preparations for the recently concluded Fashion Caribbean 2016.

IGABURI, which can mean style, form or attitude in the Garifuna language, was inspired by another local photographer – Nadia Huggins, who encouraged Mr Retail to seriously pursue filming. This new inspiration brought him to the realization that there was a lack of visual representation showing local creatives in the workshop, crafting their livelihood and he set out to shine a light up the skirts of the Vincentian fashion industry. The documentary follows designers Jeremy Payne and Peta Odini as they construct and detail their collections, interact with models and prep for photoshoots before the big event (Fashion Caribbean 2016).

Part one of IGABURI, which features Fashion Is Payne, will be released next Wednesday and the second installment, featuring Peta Odini, will be released the following week.
