Controversial dancehall artiste Alkaline who recently released his debut album is once again the topic of discussion. Just over 2 months ago Alkaline dropped the lead single ‘City’ from his soon very popular album “New Level Unlocked” produced by DJ Frass.

In the thought-provoking track, Alkaline real name Earlan Bartley, seemingly takes subliminal jabs at two other heavyweights, Vybz Kartel and Popcaan as he takes pleasure singing, “Everybody vex over what mi never said / Them say mi should show more respect to the dead / Mi no understand what some other man a meds / But mi couldn’t just put no bubbles in a mi head,” Alkaline rhymes over a dancehall beat.

On the track Alkaline deejays that others talk about him everyday and he does not remember some of them, while adding that if they were hot they would not be where they are.

The artiste also alleges he doesn’t do interviews, he sings, “The answer to everything deh pan mi left hand.”

Word in the street in that Alkaline and his team stole the riddim, from ace selector/producer Razz of Razz Attack. Few days ago Razz Attack signed artist Jordanne Patrice threw allegations at the top tier Dj and his team, stating that they had their beat from last summer, recorded a few song and sent it to be mixed. In February a friend call them and told them to listen “City.”

Upon listening to the Alkaline track and then listeing to Razz Attacks “Mad Rush Riddim”, yiou can hear than it is actually the same beat.
