The official poster for Welcome to My Life, an upcoming documentary on Chris Brown, offers a provocative tagline: “He went from being America’s sweetheart to Public Enemy Number One.”

In the new trailer, we get the first taste of how the movie will explore peaks and valleys of Brown’s life in the public eye over the last decade.
The singer himself is featured prominently, both in new and archival interview footage, and there are also news clips. And here’s a moment where Brown briefly addresses his infamous 2009 assault on Rihanna.

“I felt like a f***ing monster,” the “Back to Sleep” singer says, adding that he descended into drug use and a bout with depression in its aftermath.

Celebs including Usher, Mary J. Blige, Jennifer Lopez, DJ Khaled, and Mike Tyson also make appearances. According to Brown, the doc will be out soon, but there’s no official release date.
