Dancehall artiste Popcaan has been freed after being arrested in Antigua Tuesday morning following his performance during their Labour Day celebration.

Sources inside the Unruly camp said that the ‘Unruly Boss’ was released after paying an undisclosed fine for resisting arrest and assaulting a police officer.

Sources also stated that the deejay was not officially charged.

The artiste was represented by Michael Archibald, Lawrence Daniels and Jermaine Rhudd.

Popcaan is slated for a show in St. Lucia next.

The conflict began earlier Tuesday morning when a number of supporters climbed onto the stage during Popcaan’s performance and a police officer began removing them.

“Yea man, a Unruly party… level… a Unruly Boss deh yah, suh yuh know unruly things affi gwan” Popcaan said over the microphone before begging the officer to be more gentle with a fan.

“Police.. tek time wid him police, mi done tell yuh nuh deal wid dem suh rough” Poppi said before he physically separated the fan from the police officer who reacted by strongly pushing the dancehall artiste.

However, the DJ is back on Instagram and moments after his release, the ‘Unruly Boss’ released a new song titled “Preserve My Life” which was produced by Notnice Records.

“Them nuh build great man enuh.. But this a one great man them can’t kill🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼😐#mamaprayfame big up me fans them a unu and God make me” He captioned a video with his mother Rhona sharing a prayer for the artiste.
