Muhammad Ali’s death on Friday has been greeted with tributes from big name celebrities, sports stars and even World leaders such as President Barack Obama, Mike Tyson and Madonna.

The 74 year old Boxing legend was admitted to a medical center on Phoenix, Arizona for respiratory complications, reports suggest that his final hours were spent on life support.

Bob Gunnell, a family spokesman confirmed the sad news of his passing in a statement released late Friday.
“After a 32-year battle with Parkinson’s disease, Muhammad Ali has passed away at the age of 74,” he wrote. “The Ali family would like to thank everyone for their thoughts, prayers, and support and asks for privacy at this time.”

After the news of his death broke, many Superstars flocked to social media to express their condolences, posting photos paying tribute to one of the greatest sportsmen of all time.

Fellow boxing champ Mike Tyson shared a snap of the pair on his twitter, captioned: “God came for his champion. So long great one @MuhammadAli #TheGreatest #RIP”.
