Machel Montano’s debut movie, Bazodee, will soon be shown in 250 cinemas across the United States.

Bazodee, which premiered at the Trinidad and Tobago Film Festival last September, will be released for US audiences on August 5.

The movie, a tale of love that rises beyond cultural differences, stars Montano, Bollywood star Kabir Bedi, Game of Thrones actor Staz Nair, Trini-born, UK-based actor Valmike Rampersad and British actress Natali Perera, who plays Montano’s love interest, Anita.

The movie was written by Barbadian screenwriter Clare Ince and produced by Todd Kessler and Trinidad-born producer Ancil McKain.

The release will follow an official premiere at the end of July in New York.

Trinidadian audiences will get the chance to see the movie in T&T cinemas before the end of the year, we are told and there will be announcements soon for release dates in the Caribbean, India and the UK.
