French Montana traveled to Trinidad and Tobago a few days ago to perform as a guest artist on the much anticipated Machel Monday. The show was a huge success, and soca fans openly shared their excitement at seeing the “unforgettable” artist on stage with their soca king Machel Montano. However, this excitement has now turned sour for some.

Earlier today, French Montana posted a photo of himself disembarking from an airplane and getting picked up by immigration in Trinidad with the caption, “Immigration waiting for me when I landed in Trinidad 🇹🇹 🤞🏼 but much love to all the beautiful people in Trinidad we had a blast #3rdworld #dreamers❤”

Trinidadians soca fans, following French Montana on Instagram, have now taken up arms against the artist for his “3rd world” hashtag, labeling it disrespectful and offensive and calling for him to take it down.
