On Tuesday (July 25) reports were made that Demi Lovato was rushed to the hospital due to an overdose. It was rumored that the drug Demi overdosed on was Heroin but that has since been denied by the ‘Heart Attack’ singer. Sources close to Demi Lovato insist that she did not overdose on heroin, but did overdose on other unspecified drugs.

One of those substances may have been methamphetamine, seeing that insiders claim a nurse reported to the police that Lovato used methamphetamine leading up to her overdose.

Law enforcement sources told the site that illegal drug paraphernalia and drug remnants were found at the “Heart Attack” singer’s Hollywood Hills home when paramedics arrived on Tuesday, though it’s unclear what kinds of drugs were present at the scene as there may not have been enough left for analysis.

“Demi is awake and with her family who want to express thanks to everyone for the love, prayers and support. Some of the information being reported is incorrect and they respectfully ask for privacy and not speculation as her health and recovery is the most important thing right now,” the singer’s rep said in a statement Tuesday.

Lovato will likely not face charges over the incident, as the incident is not being investigated as a criminal act.

The singer has been sober for 6 years prior to this relapse.
