Nike is currently selling a very limited edition of the LeBron 15’s, the shoe sports the word ‘Equality’ on the back in gold. The shoe comes in 2 colors, black or white. This sneaker is so limited that only 400 pairs are being sold. Purchase of the ‘Equality’ kicks are not so easy either, as Nike will be hosting an online draw to choose who will get the chance to purchase the sneaker. The first entry of the draw is free but additional entries cost $10 each, every cent will be donated to the Smithsonian National Museum of African-American History and Culture.

LeBron posted a picture of a black pair of the kicks on Instagram with the caption reading, “Great morning to all! Basketball is our vehicle but equality is our mission- stand for something positive and do what you can to make a difference!! Proud to announce we’re dropping the ‘Equality’ PE. There’s always a personal connection with a drop – this one goes beyond basketball. Proceeds go to the Smithsonian Natl Museum of African American History & Culture. #Equality #StriveForGreatness #IWillNotShutUpAndDribble”

The museum which was opened in September 2016, tells the story of frican-Americans, from slavery to the Civil Rights Movement and beyond. The museum includes an exhibit dedicated to African-American athletes and their contributions to sports and society.

This is not the first time LebBron is donating to the museum, back in November 2016, James and his business partner donated $2.5 million to the museum, pledging the money specifically for an exhibit about Muhammad Ali.
