The Terminator sequel is far from over, as the sequel’s new addition is currently being worked on and is set to hit theaters November 22, 2019.

The new film has a modern day twist to it, James Cameron implies as he speaks about the new movie. This also marks the first time Cameron has produced a series since 1992’s Terminator 2: Judgement Day.

When speaking to Collider of the old Terminator, James stated, “That was just your classic ‘technology bad, smart computers bad’ kind of thing. Nowadays though — it’s got to be a much more nuanced perspective. So its ‘Smart computers bad… BUT…’ That’s the new motif.” The latest addition to the Terminator sequel is centered around three women ready to raise hell against anyone that crosses them. The featured stars for the film are: Natalia Reyes, Mackenzie Davis, and Linda Hamilton.

Hamilton will reprise her role as Sarah Conner, with Arnold Schwarzenegger returning to the cast. Schwarzenegger is reportedly playing the T-800 model Terminator again. ComicBook.com reports that Gabriel Luna will play a newer and more modern version of Skynet’s killing machines in the upcoming sequel.

In a Twitter post of the three ladies staring in the film, Paramount Pictures also reveals that the movie will be directed by Tim Miller from Deadpool.

“Official first look at the new @Terminator featuring Natalia Reyes, Mackenzie Davis and Linda Hamilton. Directed by Tim Miller (DEADPOOL). Produced by James Cameron and David Ellison. In theatres 11.22.19. #Terminator,” Paramount captioned under the Twitter post of the ‘sneak peak’.
