It seems Melania Trump didn’t get the memo on Donald Trump’s tweets against LeBron James—or did she? Earlier this week, CNN’s Don Lemon interviewed the NBA legend on the opening of his school, I Promise, which will serve at-risk kids in his hometown, Akron, Ohio. While most have deemed James’ as admirable, Trump had other ideas: “Lebron James was just interviewed by the dumbest man on television, Don Lemon. He made Lebron look smart, which isn’t easy to do,” he tweeted.

“Who’s the real dummy? A man who puts kids in classrooms or one who puts kids in cages?” retorted Lemon, referring to the thousands of immigrant children being held in detention centers as a result of Trump’s “zero tolerance” policy.

But when The Hill reached out to the First Lady for a comment about the matter, she turned out to be on LeBron’s side.

“It looks like LeBron James is working to do good things on behalf of our next generation and just as she always has, the First Lady encourages everyone to have an open dialogue about issues facing children today,” read a statement from the First Lady’s spokeswoman Stephanie Grisham. She isn’t the only one either. In the same tweet above, Donald Trump claimed he likes Mike (as in Michael Jordan) but Jordan was quick to join James’ side.

“I support LJ. He’s doing an amazing job for his community,” read a statement from the legend.

As for Melania, this isn’t the first time she’s shaded her husband. She’s known for consistently avoiding him when he reaches out to hold hands. She also launched an initiative against cyberbullying when DT is the No. 1 bully on Twitter. It’s also possible that she just doesn’t care.
