It is no secret that Popcaan is aiming to be an international superstar, as he recently mentioned that his last album ‘Forever’ is Grammy-winning material. The Jamaican artist does not plan to stop at singing though as a trailer of the upcoming Netflix movie, The Intent 2: The Come Up, features Popcaan conversing with one of the lead actors in a scene seemingly shot at Hellshire Beach in Portmore.

The movie is set to premiere next month. The movie, directed by Femi Oyeniran and Nicky Slimting Walker, will feature Popcaan alongside Jamaican actor, Louie ‘Ox’ Rankin.

The trailer suggests the movie should have “the same grit, humour and action sequences as its’ predecessor” and “promises to follow THE INTENT in becoming an instant cult classic but with international reach.” Part one of the film was about an undercover police officer who found his loyalties tested as the gang he had grown attached to became increasingly violent. It featured the likes of Scorcher, Krept & Konan, Femi Oyeniran, Dylan Duffus and Ashley Chin. Oyeniran, Chin, Krept & Konan and Duffus return for part two of the film.
