Kevin Hart’s “Help From The Hart” Charity has teamed up with KIPP Schools and the United Negro College Fund to award 18 students from the KKIP Schools, scholarships to attend historically black colleges and universities.

Hart’s charity along with KIPP Schools have donated a total of $600,000 towards this fund, by giving $300,000 each. The 18 students that were chosen to receive the scholarships attend KIPP Schools in 8 different states. The chosen few are from Arkansas, Georgia, Illinois, Louisiana, Maryland, Pennsylvania, Texas and Washington, D.C. They were selected based on academic and personal achievements.

KIPP is an American national network of chartered schools.

This is not the first time Hart has donated to this fund, as he donated $100,000 to the fund back in 2015. In a statement, Hart said that he wants to do his part to provide opportunities for future leaders.
