Nicki Minaj promised to give her fans a little ‘something’ in a Twitter post a few days ago leaving fans to assume that the artist was about to drop more records from her upcoming ‘Queen’ album.

However, Nicki made the awaited announcement yesterday and it is not what any of the Barbz guessed. Nicki announced that she would be joining the Beats 1 lineup with a ‘Queen Radio’ show. The new show will premiere today (August 9) on Apple Music’s online station.

“#QueenRadio begins tomorrow @applemusic!” she wrote on Twitter. “The new dynasty begins on @beats1official tomorrow at 7pm PT/10pm ET. AND I might have something special for you too! Use the hashtag #QueenRadio between now & then. I’ll be conducting a live Q&A portion of my very first show.”

The launch of the radio show will take a place just over a week before Minaj drops her oft-delayed Queen album. The LP’s release date was recently pushed back again from August 10 to August 17 due to sample clearance issues.

Minaj hasn’t shared the tracklist for Queen as of Wednesday (August 8), but the album is slated to include 19 songs.
