Aretha Franklin’s memorial will without a doubt be overflowing with people going to honor the Queen Of Soul, that being said, the family of the late legend are opting for a bigger space since the average church would not be able to hold the mass number of expected guests.

Aretha’s family is considering having the memorial service of the Queen held at the Charles H. Wright Museum of African American History in Detroit. Aretha was a frequent visitor to the chosen museum and the museum has enough space to accommodate the estimated thousands that wish to attend. The museum was also the site of Rosa Parks’ viewing in 2005.
