Following top class performances by Konshens, Aidonia, Jah Vinci, Tommy Lee and Beenie Man, Beenie announced that majority of the proceedings raised at Summer Sizzle will be donated to UWI Sickle Cell Unit.

“The next step is to use the proceeds to support the work of the Sickle Cell Unit at UWI. We have to keep using the music to build the country so with every staging of this event we will plant the profit right here for Jamaicans to benefit. I wouldn’t be where I am without them,” Beenie announced as he explains that the charitable donation would be through his ‘Beenie Man Foundation.’
