Bishop Everton Thompson, the pastor that ordained Lady Saw, now known as Marian Hall, is encouraging more dance hall artists to turn to the gospel.

Bishop Thompson believes that it does not matter the background of the artists and he wishes more of them would dedicate their lives to Christ and get baptized. He even went on to challenge fellow Christians to be not so quick to judge these entertainers regardless of their secular lifestyle reminding them that it is the message that is important. Bishop Thompson believes that artistes who record gospel songs are being called by God and may be willing to accept the faith so it is the church’s duty to help them find their path towards the Lord.

Thompson’s comments came after a recent wave of gospel-themed tracks from dance hall artistes including Wayne Marshall and Bounty Killer, who teamed up for “Thank You For The Blessing.”
