A few weeks ago, Jazz musician Robert Glasper accused Lauryn Hill of stealing music she used on her album ‘The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill’ and being unfair to people who worked alongside her.

Lauryn Hill finally responded to the accusations by way of a lengthy statement that can be found on Medium, which consists of over 30 paragraphs explaining her side of the story. In the response letter, Lauryn completely denies stealing music by trying to justify the actions she took that came across to Robert as biased. “The one thing you did great, you didn’t do!” Glasper said in an interview with a Houston radio station few weeks back referring to Lauryn’s music. He also went on to mention that Lauryn ill-treated those who were touring with her.

In the response letter Lauryn stated, “The Miseducation was the first time I worked with musicians outside of the Fugees who’s report and working relationship was clear. In an effort to create the same level of comfort, I may not have established the necessary boundaries and may have been more inviting than I should have been. In hindsight, I would have handled it differently for the removal of any confusion. And I have handled it differently since, I’m clear and I make clear before someone walks in the door what I am and am not looking for. I may have been inclusive, but these are my songs.”
