Popcaan fans that were looking forward to seeing the Jamaican dance hall artist on stage will have to reschedule if they were expecting to see him at Notting Hill Carnival.

Popcaan recently had to withdraw himself from the UK Carnival due to unforeseen circumstances after he was booked to highlight the annual Notting Hill Carnival. Although the circumstances were not named, it has been speculated that the problem lies in Popcaan’s rumored travel barrier. The UK West Indian carnival will now be highlighted by Konshens and other Jamaican artists like Shenseea, Tony Matterhorn and MC Fox were also added to the line up.

Popcaan expressed his disappointment in a Twitter post reading, “I am extremely disappointed to announce that I will no longer be performing as part of the Red Bull Music stage line-up at this year’s Notting Hill Carnival. Due to extremely last-minute unforeseen circumstances that were out of anybody’s control, it’s not going to be possible to attend this year. I know Carnival is one of the biggest parties in the world and as of yesterday we still thought everything was in hand to be joining in. I know the vibe and energy would carry on and the line-up is crazy, so I’m sorry I won’t be there.”
