UPDATE: Mr. Vegas has since commented that he does not support the Bishop in a post under Hot 97’s Instagram page saying, “Maybe u should also add that I did further checks and realized it was more than what came up on my timeline. I rebuke the Pastor! He should resign. Bless”

Original Post: Bishop Charles H. Ellis III was put on blast for allegedly touching Ariana Grande inappropriately at Aretha Franklin’s Funeral but Mr. Vegas disagrees with those accusing the bishop of being improper.

In a since-deleted post on his Instagram page, Mr. Vegas stated, “I honestly think people are reaching here. Give the man a break! People touch people all the times, in certain area, by accident. What is wrong with you people? These are the types of story u enjoy sharing! Where is the stories about the work that @kingjames and @akon are doing???? Smfh!!!”

Bishop Charles H. Ellis III has since apologized to Ariana, her fans and the Hispanic community, following being heavily criticized by the media, saying it was never his intention to inappropriately touch her. “It would never be my intention to touch anyone’s breast,” the Bishop stated, referring to his awkward greeting to Ariana while they were on stage. Ariana has not responded to the apology.

Mr. Vegas has been in the headlines in recent months for entangling himself in several controversial incidents including a shooting incent involving a security guard and a licensed firearm holder at an apartment complex in Kingston.
