Taking a sick day off from work is understandable, sometimes workers are just too sick to work efficiently, and our dearest Lauryn Hill is no exception to a sick day, right?

Lauryn Hill came down with a cold and as a result the singer is pushing her September show in Irving, Texas to May 9th,2019. Lauryn announced her unfortunate situation only a few days after news broke that the legendary singer was being sued for over $400,000 in unpaid credit card debt. Joe Budden is as confused as the other onlookers and tweeted a reply to the very puzzling announcement saying, “But it’s September.. lol.” Naturally, the most logical explanation is that May was simply the next available date that worked for both Hill and the Irving venue, but it’s another tally on the board for Lauryn Hill cancellations, postponements, and straight up no-shows.

Earlier in September, it was revealed that Hill removed Santigold and Nas from her tour run. Santigold took to Twitter to respond to frustrated fans says that it was Lauryn Hill’s management who cited “production issues” for the decision. Nas hasn’t publicly commented on what exactly took place and Hill has continued her trek. Next up, she is expected to perform on October 3rd at the Lakefront Arena in New Orleans before heading to St. Louis, Chicago, Miami, and Paris among other cities. We’ll see if her ailments have let up by then.
