The 1995 hit movie, Clueless, which boasted 56.8 Million at Box Office is currently being remade and is set to be released in 2019 but this time, the movie’s creative angle will be in the hands of Tracy Oliver, the writer who was in charge of scripting ‘Girls Trip.’

Tracy and Marquita Robinson, writer on the Netflix comedy series GLOW and Amazon Prime’s Survivor’s Remorse, have been hired by Paramount Pictures to make this remake possible. Oliver and Robinson’s heavy involvement in the movie’s development has provided not only women but women of color the opportunity to shape and create diverse stories. The original screenplay was written and directed by Amy Heckerling. It was set in 90s Beverly Hills with actors like Paul Rudd, Donald Faison, and Stacey Dash. The 1995 classic was originally written as a critique of changes in Generation Y. With the film in its early stages, little details have emerged other than the fact that it may be targeted toward Generation X.

The exact date of release has not yet been mentioned but Tracy seems excited to be working on the film. Check out her reaction below.
