A Twenty20 tapeball “grudge” match at Weymounth between Vincy Warriors and Starcom Network/Nation Publishing Conquering Lions resulted in the Warriors putting an end to the Lions three year winning streak.

Vincy Warriors garnered up 95-4 in 14.2 overs (Davon Davson 31 n. o., Khadafy Cummins 25 n.o., Kelvin Patterson 21; Derick Bishop 2-17) placing them as the champions by a total of six wickets over the Conquering Lions who managed to tally up 94-9 in 20 overs. The match took place on Saturday (October 27) bringing in yet another reason to celebrate the day of our nation’s Independence. Vincentians and cricket fans alike filled up 5000 seats at the Police Sports Club to witness the match and roared with excitement when the Warriors secured the winning position with 5.4 overs remaining.
