Every rap battle fan in Detroit will be gifted with the chance to witness the premiere of Eminem-produced, ‘Bodied,’ today and tomorrow (November 2 and 3) for free thanks to the rap legend himself.

Em announced that he will buy out the entire theater for the two nights just so Detroit fans won’t miss out on the opportunity to watch the film first. Bodied tells the story of a graduate student who immerses himself in the competitive rap battle scene and the film was directed by Joseph Kahn himself- the director Em frequently uses for his music videos.

“I always had it in the back of my mind that he was going to come on board at some point,” Kahn said referring to Eminem jumping on board to by the film’s executive producer. “But you don’t want to go to Em and ask for money or an endorsement on something on big as battle rap, because everybody asks him for things. So I made the movie, showed it to him, and he loved it. Then he decided to come on board, and he helped us put the deal together.”

Bodied stars Calum Worthy, Dumbfoundead, Anthony Michael Hall, Jackie Long, Rory Uphold and Charlamagne Tha God with Paul Rosenberg in the role of producer. The film is in theaters now and hits YouTube Premium on November 28.
