15 years after the last film belonging to the Bad Boys enterprise, the third addition to the sequel has been confirmed.

Will Smith and Martin Lawrence both confirmed that they will be teaming up once again to film Bad Boys 3. Yes! The Bad Boys are back, this time Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah are set to be the directors. The film is expected to begin taping in 2020, providing that no unforeseen problem arises. In an Instagram post on Halloween, Martin Lawrence shared a photo of him and Will on a beach in California with the caption reading, “It’s official. Bad Boys for Life. #teammartymar #badboysforlife @willsmith #weback.”

Will Smith backed up the announcement by posting a video of them on his Instagram, that post can be viewed below.

Bad Boys 3 will see Lawrence’s character Marcus Burnett working as a private eye after a falling out with Smith’s Mike Lowery, who is going through a midlife crisis as a bachelor who finally wants to mature, all while dealing with a new a young and cocky partner who is loyal to Lowery but that loyalty is not reciprocated, and finds bond with Burnett when he returns to the fray. Lowery and Burnett are brought together again when a lean, mean, skilled, Albanian mercenary with a vendetta puts a death order on Lowery and Burnett for the death of his brother. Now the two must work together once again to bring him down.
