Kasper Rorsted, CEO of Adidas, was questioned about the company’s relationship with Kanye West given West’s statements and beliefs, to which Kasper replied that has nothing to do with them teaming up.

According to Rorsted, the collaboration between Adidas and Kanye West has brought much success for both parties and Adidas does not intend to stop working with Kanye because of his statements. Adidas’ sole interest in Kanye West is his creativity not his beliefs where politics is concerned. “We don’t sign up to all the statements he makes,” Rorsted shared. “We sign up for all the creative work we jointly do, which has been extremely successful for both parties.”

“If [West] stays away from politics, that’s his choice,” Rorsted added, going on to mention the Yandhi rapper attended a brand meeting earlier in the week. “We’ve had a great relationship with him.” Interestingly, West kept quiet on Election Day, choosing not to share any of his thoughts on the 2018 Midterm Elections with his audience on Twitter. Last week, after Candace Owens apologized for involving him in her Blexit Merch, the rapper claimed he wanted to distance himself from politics.
