Rita Ora is now a trending topic of Thanksgiving after a lip-syncing mishap occurred during her performance at the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade.

Ora’s lips dd not exactly sync up with the words while performing “Let You Love Me,” at the parade causing fans to take to social media to blast her.

One celebrity, however, came to her defense. John Legend took to social media to let fans know that lip syncing is often a norm amongst performers at the parade.

“Fun fact. We all have to lip sync on this parade because the floats don’t have the capacity to handle the sound requirements for a live performance,” Legend wrote in response to a tweet in which both he and Ora were tagged when discussing that musicians lip-sync. “Hope y’all enjoyed it anyway. Know that if you come to my shows, the vocals are 100% live!”

Ora responded by thanking Legend and also noting that she, too, sings live during her shows.

“Fun fact @johnlegend thank you for clarifying what I was about to also tweet,” she wrote. “It’s annoying for us but anyway! All my shows are 100 percent live always have been! When you come to a ORA show get ready! Back to holidays! Have a good one guys! 🙂 X”
