Nike, in their current tracjetory, have begun aligning themselves almost wholly with the nuances of Japanese streetwear, bringing together a band of collaborators who excel within their respective sectors of the industry. Ambush, Undercover, Sacai, and CDG have somewhat fused many classic silhouettes into their own ethos, paving the way for many more adventurous reimagings. Following in their footsteps — though surely stepping off the beaten path of their imprints — Cav Empt arrives to inflict a graphic chaos onto two Air Max 95 colorways. Seen in both a Navy/Tan and White/Black scheme, the patterns of the layered upper are reminscent of a heavily fragmented digi camo, complimenting the cyberpunk nature of designer Sk8thing’s many works. While surely a far cry from what him and Toby Feltwell achieved at Billionaire’s Boys Club, the eclectic duo have effortlessly created their own legacy. Though releasing first at and their Tokyo location on January 5th, both sets of footwear as well as accompanying apparel will see a much wider release at select retailers as well as Nike’s official channels. The kicks will retail for $190.
