An announcement made by the St. Vincent and the Grenadines Football Federation and the St. Vincent Brewery confirmed that the National Club Championship that begun last October and paused during the Christmas season will resume today (January 8).

Marvin Fraser, the President of the SVGFF expressed that the support and turnout from fans for their favorite teams and players have been phenomenal since the championship’s opening in October and he’s looking forward to an even greater turnout for the games to come. Mr. Fraser explained, “players from the various clubs who are training or aspiring to make the National Team are going to be putting their all on display to make the final squad to represent St. Vincent and the Grenadines.” The first division since the resumption is being played at the Sion Hill and Campden Park playing fields today.

Premiere Games will be played on Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays at the Victoria Park. The resumption of the Club Championship will also see female football games on Wednesdays as a start to the female tournament which is scheduled to begin next week. The Club Champion is sponsored by the St. Vincent Brewery who has been lending their support to the development of the game.
