St. Vincent and the Grenadines is about to host the first-ever film festival.

The Hairouna Film Festival launches on March 22nd, 2019 and continues for a week, up to the 30th. It aims to bring “local Vincentian and Caribbean films to outdoor locations on mainland St. Vincent.” The organizers of the HFF have collaborated with the Third Horizon Film Festival, an annual Caribbean film festival held in Miami, to make this venture possible.

The festival promises “many opportunities to enjoy stories steeped in Caribbean culture,” and is completely free to the public.

More information on the Hairouna Film Festival is expected to be released over the days to come on the festival’s Instagram page. Please visit @hairounaff for more information on the festival or to donate to the venture.
