In the years since launching America’s Next Top Model, Tyra Banks has found a horde of Banksian ways to expand her empire. She completed a certificate program at Harvard and started a (problematic) multi-level marketing company. She released a book called Modelland—a supernatural Y.A. novel about an aspiring model named Tookie De La Crème. And now, Banks has set her sights on something bigger. In an interview with Women’s Wear Daily, Banks revealed that she’s creating a theme park called Modelland at the Santa Monica Place shopping mall in California.

“It’s my calling to bring modeling to the masses,” Banks told WWD, saying she’s been working on Modelland for 10 years. The park will be a 21,000-square-foot ticketed attraction with interactive entertainment, curated retail and user-generated content that can be shared, per WWD. But anyone can also come shop without a ticket. (Because . . . it’s in a mall, after all.) Modelland will open later this year.

“It’s a permanent attraction anchoring the mall,” Banks added. “I’m inspired by Disneyland, a place I went to a lot as a child. There is a story line I have been working on for a year. Anybody can enter and feel like a model.”
