Marsai Martin, 14 year old ‘Black-ish’ star has become the youngest person to land a first-look production contract as Hollywood’s youngest executive producer with Universal.

Martin has been tasked with the duty of developing new projects for the studio through her Genius Production imprint. Her first project will be a comedy called StepMonster, which is about a young girl adjusting to her new stepmom.

The teen will star in the film and develop the script along with Genius Productions co-founder, Joshua Martin and vice-president, Carol Martin (who also happen to be her parents) and Prince Baggett, the company’s head of creative affairs.

Martin scored her first executive producer’s credit in the upcoming comedy, Little, in which she also stars opposite Regina Hall and Issa Rae. The comedy, about a woman who transforms into her younger self, hits theaters on April 12.
